Keep going along South Bank and you will come to Millenium Bridge, where you will see St Paul's Cathedral on the other side of the river. Turn right along South Bank, passing HMS Belfast, and views back to the Tower. Get out and walk round the perimeter of the Tower of Londond, then cross Tower Bridge.

I don't know anything about the parade or where it will be, but, assuming you're happy on foot, you could take the tube from St Pancras to Tower Hill.
GAY PRIDE DAY LONDON HOW TO
What would you experts suggest we do? (We are a party of 4 middle aged adults with little concept of London or how to manage their public transport (tube and buses) ? I really wish now we didn't have our Eurostar tickets and just skip this whole London idea, but I can't turn back time. I also thought maybe a ~3 hour black cab tour might be the way to go, as they could hopefully skirt around the road closures, but so far I have contacted 2 companies and they are not available. I contacted HOHO and they didn't even recommend using their services that day!! (Can you believe it!! ?) They recommended using the tube! Yes, I can understand how the tube might be a more efficient use of time but I hate the idea of spending precious time underground! But that "itinerary" seemed to be the easiest and quickest way to manage and the best thing I could wrap my brain around, having never been to London before.īut now with the parade, I'm at a loss as to what to do. We "had" planned to arrive at St Pancras at 9am, walk to the nearest Hop On Hop Off location and just tour around the city to quickly see the iconic sights get off at a couple of the stops for a few photo ops, maybe stop " somewhere" for fish and chips and a pint or 2 and then (probably all too soon) have to head back to St Pancras to catch our 7pm train. As crazy as our idea is to come to London via Eurostar for a whirlwind one day visit to see the sights, I have just recently learned that the day we are there is the day of the Gay Pride Parade, which will make our visit even more hectic and confusing!!
